i play saxophone (soprano and tenor), with pedals too, and have been wanting to have a project where we write songs with structure but improvisation within - the goal is to rehearse weekly (e.g. monday evenings or thursday evenings), gig and record. jazz background (my level is intermediate, probably, with an ok understanding of theory, good with chords, scales, etc)
i really like bands like portico quartet, but i am open to the use of different sounds, mixing electronic and acoustic. i like music to move forwards/progress, listen a lot to jazz, modern jazz, classical as well as rock (post-rock, indie, new wave, 80s music, electronic (dark wave))
i got a rehearsal space where we could jam, maybe have a couple of tracks to use as staring points - as a band forms, then everybody chips in. i also play guitar in another post-rock project (but that is totally separate - here my focus stays on saxophone and maybe help out with basic midi synths (i am more limited there)).

Many successful bands are driven by a highly motivated core of two or three people, while the rest contribute in different ways. I'm completely open to either approach, as long as everyone is committed and shares the same vision.
Songwriting
I want songwriting to be as flexible as possible.
We can write songs together from scratch, but members are also welcome to bring fully written riffs, demos or complete song ideas. The band can then develop, rearrange and adapt these ideas together until they become our own.
Workflow
One rehearsal per week focused on songwriting, rehearsing and preparing live performances.
One additional weekly meeting dedicated to planning, content creation, social media and developing the project.
Recording demos and singles ourselves using professional equipment.
Mixing and mastering can either be done in-house or outsourced to the right producer when needed.

Songwriting

Wir können Songs komplett gemeinsam entwickeln, aber jeder kann auch fertige Riffs, Demos oder sogar komplette Songideen mitbringen. Diese werden dann gemeinsam weiterentwickelt, angepasst und umarrangiert, bis daraus ein Song entsteht, hinter dem die gesamte Band steht.
Arbeitsweise
Eine Bandprobe pro Woche zum Schreiben neuer Songs, Arrangieren und Vorbereiten des Live-Sets.
Ein weiteres wöchentliches Treffen für Organisation, Content-Erstellung, Social Media und die Weiterentwicklung des Projekts.
Demos und Singles werden möglichst in Eigenregie mit professionellem Equipment aufgenommen.
Mixing und Mastering können entweder selbst übernommen oder an einen passenden Produzenten vergeben werden.

Hello everybody! I’m Zoe (30) looking for interested musicians for an experimental rock/metal-adjacent band project. This is meant as a serious project with potential to hopefully release original music and regularly perform at some point, but it should always come with a start, meaning no rush and pressure from the get go, and just jam :)
I’m a singer who tries to compose music from time to time and learn music theory on her own. I’m also a huge music nerd who can just talk about music and music theory for hours. My biggest influences are in post-punk, art rock, industrial rock/metal, no wave, experimental electronics and alternative metal. I’m also really interested in jazz influences and unorthodox song/rhythm structures in these genres (The Mars Volta, Refused, Mr. Bungle, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Black Country New Road, The Lounge Lizards, Squid could be first examples).
Any instrument from guitar and bass to violin and saxophone are welcome! In the end of the day, I would like to find fellow music nerds who like to jam, experiment and exchange ideas.

We’re a few musicians sharing a small but cosy music studio in Charlottenburg, and we currently have some free spots available.
Studio details:
- around 8 m², located in the basement of a residential building
- accessible 24/7, dedicated toilet and heating
- fully equipped — all gear is shared and available for everyone: guitars, basses, monitor speakers, electric piano, synths, electronic drum kit, guitar amps, pedals, etc.
- rent is around €35–45/month depending on electricity usage (separate electricity meter, calculated monthly)
- no smoking, no after-parties, no pre-parties, no parties at all :)
The studio is empty most of the time and only used a few days per month. Ideal for solo musicians or possibly duos. Important: the ceiling is fairly low (around 190 cm), so unfortunately it may not work well for very tall people or anyone who feels uncomfortable in small spaces.

The band was originally formed in 2019 and currently consists of five members Elle, Ideen, Kia, Niko and Rafa. Drawing upon each others’ experiences and cultural backgrounds, the band creates a synthesized world of sounds, impressions, and emotional landscapes. The band name reflects a world that has always been interconnected. “Silky” refers to the historical Silk Road that connected South-East Asia to Europe through Persia. Together with “Psyche,” it resonates a translucent state of mind.

ich bin der Lars und suche ein paar Berliner, gleichgesinnte Musiker/in, die Bock haben etwas zu Jam'n. Was sich daraus entwickelt, wird man sehen. Ich spiele seit vielen Jahren Schlagzeug, allerdings ohne große Bühnenerfahrung und mit einigen Pausen.
Jetzt bin ich wieder aktiv am Üben! Equipment wie Verstärker für jeweilig Bass und Gitarre sind vorhanden und Raum zum Jam'n ist da.
Ich hatte in der Jugend 3 Jahre Unterricht. Das ist ja wie Fahrradfahren :-)
Die Musik, die ich upgeloadet habe, war eine reine Jam-Session - Improvisation - keiner wusste so wirklich, was der andere spielen wird. Halt keine Profis aber "Spassss Rocker" :-) Und "sorry" für die schlechten Aufnahmen. Waren Handymitschnitte - Man gönnt sich ja sonst nüscht! Ist schon unglaublich mutig von mir, Sie hier überhaupt hochzuladen. :-D
Aber jeder sollte wissen, mit wenm und was er es zu tun bekommt, wenn man Musik machen möchte!
Stil: Eher Rock/Punk/Metal/Funk - Bereiche - auch gerne individuell, innovativ elektonische Elemente.

Hey everyone,
I'm Lars and I'm looking for some like-minded musicians from Berlin who are up for jamming. We'll see what comes of it. I've been playing drums for many years, though without much stage experience and with a few breaks.
Now I'm actively practicing again! I have equipment like amps for bass and guitar, and a space to jam.
I had three years of lessons when I was younger. It's like riding a bike :-)
The music I uploaded was a pure jam session – improvisation – no one really knew what anyone else was going to play. Definitely not professionals, but "fun rockers" :-) And "sorry" for the poor recording quality. They were cell phone recordings – you have to treat yourself sometimes! It's incredibly brave of me to even upload them here. :-D
But everyone should know who and what they're getting into when they want to make music!
Style: Mostly rock/punk/metal/funk – but I also welcome individual, innovative electronic elements.

I was raised on a healthy dose of Rock ’n’ Roll, spawning my navigation of the world of music from an early age. I began singing and dancing in the backstage of small concerts at the age of five followed by playing the piano to a huge audience - Yasmin and Duda: a dachshund of wealth and taste; and a rescued dog that has being put back into society - before find his perfect match in the electric bass guitar.
My experiences has seen me in recording, sound designing and mixing audio for advertising and cinema as well as graduating from the South America renowned Methodist University with a Bachelor in Advertising. I also experienced 5 years emerged into advertising whilst simultaneously was gigging and touring around Brazil southeast. Destined for a life somewhere in the music and sound industry, I went on to study Audio and Acoustic at AVI (Audio and Video Institute) and Cinema Sound Design at ICA (International Cinema Academy). In 2017, I decided to keep learning music and made a decision which changed my life: to study Sound Production in Sydney Australia.
Now that I learned the inputs and outputs of audio world, I feel ready for another adventure which is working, jamming, producing, having a band and living where I always dreamed about it: Berlin.

Aquae Furtivae is a power prog metal band formed in Berlin, 2019.
Originally created by the Spanish drummer Iago Franco the band explores many music styles, making their songs an intriguing, teasing, and exciting expedition.
Heavily influenced by bands such as Pain of Salvation, Haken, VOLA, and Avantasia, Aquae Furtivae tries to break down the walls of standardized music swinging their audience from extreme metal to flamenco, pop, classical and electronic music.
Road to Square One is Aquae Furtivae's debut album which tells the story of a family whose father is diagnosed with Alzheimer's. As the songs go by the listener experiences the perspective of different members of the family, how they feel affected by the situation, and how they deal with their emotions to accept that they have started a one-way journey.
The album is based on a real story, written by Iago Franco who shrank almost a decade of a fight against Alzheimer in his own family into 45 minutes of an epic, whimsical and emotional journey.

I am Orhun and studying architecture right now. Electric guitar is my passion and obsession since 12.11.2012. I also compose orcestral and electronic music for movies with Logic X Pro (just for fun). I mainly play blues and trash metal. My strength is improvising rock or blues solos. I also play lots of fast trash metal rythyms, that's why I improved a strong down picking technique. I also play rock. Funk and soul just for fun :)
However, although I am very happy about the guitar part of my life, I am never satisfied. I want to imrove myself. I am very ambitious and am a harworker. I was never active with guiatr, I always played it for fun but my friends told me that I should be active and do it professionally and I think that I would be very happy to be a part of an active band.
